Let the game begin! Portmarnock Golf Club sits majestically within a picturesque curve of coastline and it remains one of the most respected venues in world golf. Set in a stunning location, tee off on a course of champions surrounded by rich history and prestige. Phil Mickelson and David Duval secured a memorable Walker Cup triumph in 1991 and these championship links are rated consistently at the top of national pools. You will experience authentic Irish hospitality at its best at Portmarnock before you spend another night in Dublin city.
Just 30 minutes from Dublin, The K Club is a world-famous golf course, don’t miss your chance to play the home of the 2006 Ryder Cup, 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and 13 European Opens!! Your expectations will be met and exceeded both on and off the course at this very exclusive club with two magnificent courses. Enjoy the ultimate golfing experience before you spend the night in the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny.
Today you will experience Mount Juliet, recently voted Ireland’s Best Parkland Golf Course, by the Golfers Guide to Ireland. Set in the rolling pastures and woodland of Ireland’s South East the course is both captivating and memorable. Tiger Woods declared that Mount Juliet Estate presented ‘perfect fairways and the best greens we’ve putted on all year’, a rich tribute to this amazing course which hosted three Irish Open Tournaments and The American Express Golf Championship in 2002 and 2004. You will undoubtedly enjoy this wonderful course from the first tee to the 19th hole before spending another night in Kilkenny, ‘the marble city’.
Leaving Kilkenny we enjoy a day tour on route to Kerry, we first visit the spectacular Rock of Cashel, no matter what direction you approach from it sticks out on the landscape and you will be awestruck by its imposing beauty. From Cashel we make our way to Cork City, ‘the rebel county’, enjoy a leisurely (or liquid!) lunch in the home to many famous attractions such as The Shandon bells, The English Market and The Blarney Stone. Enjoy an afternoon in this amazing city known locally as ‘the real capital’ before we travel over the scenic Cork and Kerry mountains into Ireland’s number one tourist town, Killarney. Enjoy an evening of ‘craic agus ceoil’, (fun and music) in this town so full of character.
Enjoy the world class links course at Ballybunion golf course. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean are two wonderfully challenging and unique world class links golf courses every hole, every hazard, every shot is defined by nature’s infinite presence. The Old Course exudes a majestic feel that simply cannot be compared to any other, consistently rated among the best in the world. After an truly memorable day on the course we spend the night in one of Ireland’s oldest cities, Limerick. A very cosmopolitan city for you to relax in and enjoy that evening.
On the spectacular west coast you will get to experience what is often referred to as the ‘St. Andrew’s’ of Ireland at Lahinch golf club. Lahinch hosted the 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, the tournament was won by Jon Rahm. This club has stood out on its own merits as a golfing institution like no other and it is renowned for the way the links has retained all of its old virtues. When you reach the final hole, we will make our way back to Limerick to maybe find a ‘watering hole’ where you can relax and enjoy your final evening on vacation
Leaving Limerick to make our way back to Dublin we stop off on route to enjoy spirits of a liquid kind at the Kilbeggan Distillery, the oldest distillery in the world! Discover the history of authentic artisan Irish whiskey and of course no visit is complete without sampling it yourself. Here you will find whiskey is still being produced using ancient traditions passed on from generation to generation. Situated along the picturesque River Brosna this is an excellent place to explore before travelling back to Dublin that evening after a memorable vacation.
