Sample Option 3: Dingle and Slea Head Drive Tour

Tour Highlights

Inch Beach is a vast expanse of white sand framing the edge of the peninsula and forming a gateway to the Gaeltacht area, where Irish is spoken. The Gaeltacht covers the entire peninsula, including Slea Head, the most westerly point in Europe and an area of breathtaking sea views.

The peninsula is rich in history and dotted with archaeological treasures, including the monastic Beehive Huts and the ancient Fertility Stone.

The views en route are spectacular: Keep an eye out for the distinctive pyramid shape of Skellig Michael, a monastic outpost, and location in the Star Wars movie franchise.

From Dun Chaoin, you will see the Blasket Islands, celebrated in Irish literature and home to a unique community of islanders who ultimately had to leave in the 1950s.

The Slea Head drive ends back in the traditional fishing town of Dingle, where the sea air is bound to fire up an appetite for the excellent local food and drink.
